It is interesting how these kinds of things appear so very fragile, but at the same time have such a tenacity for survival.

It's like that old joke about <insert derelict building here>: "That building's so rickety, it's only still standing out of habit."

I just send a membership to the friends of the East Broadtop Railroad. They have been mentioned by the new foundation as the place to send donations. Their museum is now open for the summer season. and they have work weekends just like the WW&F does.

I am amazed by their 1870s stationary steam engine. It has now been running on compressed air and used to power the machine shop. They are repairing cars in there with a punch and drill press; all belt driven of course. There are now quite a few videos over on You Tube.
