Mike,
Thanks for the heads-up.  Although I watch the history channel often I missed the previews for that show series.  It looks good if the website is accurate.

Could you see them doing an hour show on the museum? "They have to lay 1200' of track and only have 4 days to do it. Time is critical. If they don't get it done, the train can't run"....etc.  My favorite parts of the show have been the historical segments where they show the history or why they are doing what they are doing.

That power plant is about 20 miles from my house. I've toured it twice as part of my job. It's quite an operation and is one of the most up-to-date coal-fired power plants in the country. PPL Electric Utilities has been way ahead of federal air quality requirements for some years now.

By the way, Matt, it's Norfolk Southern without the ampersand (&).

I believe the show's host is a Maine native, and works for the Maine Central / Guilford.
The very last train I ran was a unit coal train to the Portland Station of the Metropolitan Edison Co. It was 165 loaded coal hoppers and weighed 18,500 tons. A train that size was so long I doubt the wheels could make one entire revolution on the WW&F's mainline! Steam trains are a lot more fun however!

It would be cool to have them vist the MNGM and WW&F and shot there next episode at both places! It would be cool to see BS&R #7 & #8 and WW&F #9 & #10 on the show but sadly only WW&F #10 is the only one operating out of the 4 steamers! ;D :( ;D
