Telephone improvement at Rose Wood Crossing
« on: November 05, 2020, 06:39:45 PM »
Ed has reported a very crude splice (wire nuts) just north of Rosewood crossing. I'd like to replace that splice with something more weatherproof. I realize that many people are going to SR&RL or MNG on Saturday, but I was wondering if anyone was planning on being at Sheepscot tomorrow afternoon......
Thanks! (A year's free magphone calls as a reward for any volunteers.) :)

I'd be willing to help you, John, but am stuck here in Ohio. I'm waiting for you to perfect teleportation. ::)

Thanks for the offer, Jeff. I think I'll postpone until Saturday. BTW, I should warn you that the error rate in teleportation can produce distressing results. The one time I tried it my hair got left behind....

Ooohhh, could it be that the Faraday Cage / 'Electrical' Building is really just a disguise (ssshhhh) for John's improved teleporter?  8)

Now I understand why that structure has a "window". That is really the 'time traveller portal'. :P

Today Johnny P. and I went up to Rosewood Crossing and installed some grade stakes John M. had prepared for better marking the mag phone line in that section. We had a good system... he brought stakes to me as I hammered them in. After finishing up we took a walk to ToM and saw the new MoW work just north of the yard limit. It looks great.

On the way back I photographed and inspected all of our signs between ToM and AC for potential repairs.

A nice adventure!

Steve

Steve,
Make sure Johnny writes his time in the log book. A man that serious about his work needs to take credit for it.

Steve....I see pictures, but mostly they look to be shots of weeds and some stakes.
I don’t see your helper at all.
Keith

Opps! Now I see him! I had to scroll to the right in order to see the surveying crew!

The lad doesn't look to happy about the job he's been given.
