No. 56 will be using the trucks that has been under B&SR flatcar No. 34.  The two trucks were brought into shop bay 3 yesterday, December 30th, for installation in January, as described here.
What–me worry?

I think that it is great to see the #56 getting a pair of freight car trucks at last. Thank you to
all who worked so long and hard to bring this car back to life! I just re-read the whole story; it is amazing to see so much new wood and old iron going into that Laconia box car. Happy New Year 2024!

Jay Wylie and Marcel Levesque were busy today (Saturday, January 20th) forming brackets to hold the coupler cut levers for No. 56.  Note the completed brackets on the table to the left of the vise.

What–me worry?

Looks great Marcel!  Another work of Art................

BTW - A general comment, please someone take those milk cans and give them a sandblast and repaint.  They would have never had them in revenue service looking like that.

To Marcel:
Thank you for such wonderful restoration work, from a remote fan and lurker to the site. Your standards are high and the quality is amazing.
I think I speak for many when I say that the WW&F is extremely lucky to have your expertise and dedication.
I would love to see you tackle any number of other cars, but if you never did, what you have done at this point is great!
That said, you probably have many choices of rotten carcasses to fill with good wood, if you wished. Perhaps you just want to take a random piece of metal and fabricate a brand new wood car around it. I look forward to whatever you chose to do. Thanks again.
