Camp Haluwasa Shoreline Railroad
« on: October 17, 2020, 02:41:31 PM »
There is a Christian Camp in Hammonton, NJ that has a 2-foot homebuilt railroad line that shuttles the campers from the parking lot to the actual camp site.  The goodbyes are said at the parking lot station and the train transports the campers to their cabins. I looked through this forum and couldn't find any mention of it.  I guess it would be more under the title of "amusement park" ride, but it has been an important part of the Camp for many years.  Here is a link to their web site as well as a link to a video showing the empty train on part of it's run through the swamp.  The Haluwasa web site has an 8:11 Vimeo video showing their activities and a few glimpses of the railroad carrying campers.
