From what I see as the weather forecast for Saturday, it looks like we're going to need rain suits vs snow suits ;-)

As an old pessimistic saying goes..."when it rains, it pours."
But youz guys, I'm sure, will "make lemonade out of lemons".

Good luck.

#9 departs with it's first train as #3 waits in the yard. You can see the puddle in the foreground, that was the way it was all day. Very wet..

3 is on the move. The vapor machine..

And here #3 is departing the yard with it's first train after 9 had returned from AC.

Kevin Madore in blue..

#9 returning south with one of its afternoon trips.

Thank you for those steamy pics Mike. BTW considering the substancial  quantity of rain  what about the Trout Brook it must be very high.

I never ventured to look at Trout Brook, but HWMNBM told me that Humason Brook was flowing rather well, and the work I had done in 2018 to Davis Grade was keeping the water flowing (I'm not done there yet), and all other ditches were flowing water.

But the order of the day was the kids. I spoke with Santa before and after the event, and he was very pleased the way the day went, rain or not. He was also impressed how much of a dedicated group of volunteers we are.

Humason Brook certainly looked impressive yesterday.  To think there was hardly a trickle of water there in late September.
What–me worry?

Mike , I think Santa wont forget all the dedicated and waterproof volunteers that put together and ran his trains despite that awful downpour.

If anyone has pictures of Santa and the happy faces, please post them, or PM me and I'll help you post them.

Looks like some of guests posted photos on our Facebook page -- https://www.facebook.com/pg/WWFRailway/posts/?ref=page_internal

Kevin Madore also took photos.  I imagine he'll have a photo album set up sometime in the next few days.

The train crews were too busy to get any photos, unfortunately.
What–me worry?

So glad your second stove is working.  Got to be more comfy working in the shop, helps paint dry faster.
I bet new ceiling wallboard  should eventually help, too.

"ceiling wallboard" - wouldn't that be ceilingboard?  Because a ceiling is not a wall...

Hmmm ... the generic name for the gypsum board (one 'brand' is Sheetrock) is "drywall".  :)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drywall
'Drywall' boards applied to a ceiling are still referred to as drywall, even though they aren't on a wall.  8)
