Lodging Update:  Wiscasset Woods Lodge will be open for SWW.  I received this note just now from the new manager.

Good Morning,

Yes we are opening April 15th and I have lots of rooms available.  I will be able to give a 15% discount for WW&F customers.
This year we will have our dining room open for free break buffet style.
I look forward to hearing from you.

since it's been a few years (wow, years...) can someone remind me what time lightning needs to strike in order to catch the work train?

It will be good to see you again, Vincent. You'll barely recognize the place!

Work trains usually depart sometime between 8am and 9am. We'll also be running shuttles throughout the day - or volunteers can drive into the work site at Trout Brook.

If we are going to allow driving to the work site, someone should check with the neighbor across from the Preserve parking area and see if we can park at the end of his road again.

At the station (you know, the one at Sheepscot, not the new one at Head Tide -- gotta get used to being specific about stations!) should we park in the parking lot next to the Percival House (as we have done in previous years) or should we park up on the corner (as we have also done in previous years)?

Welcome back, Vincent! You won't recognize the place. If you haven't seen the turntable ... yeah, there's a lot different.

There are no public train operations this weekend, so there should be plenty of parking available at Sheepscot.

WW&F member Kevin Madore has prepared (and posted at the NGDF) a nice set of photos from SWW 2022.  Here is a link to his album:

Aside from a great set of images, Kevin's photos generally have extensive captions, and this group is no exception.

As usual, Kevin takes great pictures and captures both the details and the essence of the equipment and activities at the WW&F.
