Alna wx shows mild and dry for a few days.
Tomorrow (22) should be tops for ramp track spiking, tamping.  ;)

33# rail sounds like something that might be used for a mining operation.  There are a lot of mines down here in WV that have shut down.  You might be able to snag some from a closed mine.

It's amazing what our volunteers can accomplish.  It seems that there are always folks who show up when things need to be accomplished.  Then, before we know it, another task has been moved along toward completion.

My hat is off to all who worked to make the ramp track a reality.

Outstanding, again!
Shots 11 and 16 also just catch the edge of the car barn expansion's back wall removal.

Great photo work.

It may be camera angle, but I think someone needs to look at the grading between the ramp track and the bathrooms.  Sure looks like a great spot for water to pond  - maybe a little ditching will fix.

John, that is camera angle. It is supposed to flow north around the bathroom to the new ditch Brendan dug.

The grade up to the ramp felt a bit like the Mt. Washington Cog.  I'm hoping that gets adjusted.

Fantastic work. So, what's next for the track crew?

Jack and tamp the ramp track. Than reballast and tamp the low spot near the stub switch.

Any plans to erosion-cover the area between  track and car barn, including the ditch bottom?
Yes, the track looks saggy just south of the stub switch, otherwise fine.
Must be what leveling is for.  ;)

Jacking and tamping today.

Today it was discovered that the tamper will work without the umbrella attachment.
