Magphone service is (hopefully) fine at all points on the line. ;D "Every successful call is a crank call."
You know, John does get cranky when he is wound up.

As of last fall I drove up by the Alna firehouse and got a wee bit of AT&T service there.

Snow ran 5 to 16 inches about 5 here but wind so bad it is all drift.
40 mph sustained, 55?mph gusts - minus 23 to 28 wind chills.

You should be getting it early Sunday according to Weather Channel.

Keep out of the wind - if you can :-D

Back in the day, in the military, we had "Mickey Mouse Boots".
Awkward to walk in but they did keep feet warm in sub zero temps.
Trigger finger mittens were not that warm though.

My rotary phone works well anywhere up to 12 feet from the wall :-D :-D
{And with the extension cord I can listen on the party line while cooking}{we really don't have a party line} ;D ;D

6 or t inches of very light snow, not bad. I'm 22 miles from the museum.

Thanks for the photos, Mike. I'm glad to see that there is some snow on the ground.

As of last fall I drove up by the Alna firehouse and got a wee bit of AT&T service there.
When I was working on small cruise ships operating along the Maine coast in 2005 and 2006 AT&T was the only one that worked well. TMobile and Sprint were spotty. Then in 2011 everything worked.

The results are starting to popup online. Facebook has a TON of photos and videos.

I think they all got a bargain, I'm at the museum most every day and I've never seen so much work go into an event like this before. I hope the second one in Feb. will be easier as all the groundwork has been done on this one.

I agree with Fred. Solid effort by all involved produced a great weekend. The overnight storm Saturday helped..

Was the owner of SR&RL #6, I believe a Mr. King, invited to this event?  Is the locomotive still under lease from him?  Alice Ramsdell would have been pleased to see her beloved engine running.  Her father and his friend William Moneypenny, are the reason the engine still exists.
It's sad that the Phillips group seemingly is left out of these events. They have done some great restoration work on some of the rolling stock in their museum. I've been there several times and seen the results.  Were they even invited to join in this "reunion" event?  If not, why not?

The WW&F enjoys a good working relationship with the folks at the Sandy River.

Without getting into the confidential details, joint events between the organizations have been discussed in both official and unofficial manners. While nothing substantial has come from those conversations, there is no reason to imply that they were not invited to participate (or that there may not be opportunities to do joint events in the future.)
