Wayne, we have been using it for fill around the container some, but there was so much that our contractor Jeff was hauling it off for free (he needed the fill for a project at home).

The ROW looks nicely groomed. Has Fred swapped his chain saw for a weed wacker?

Fred is taken a break. I have started to cut the small brush (young tree's) along the ROW.

The nerve of Fred, taking a vacation with his family.  And with all those ties that still need to be cut for the fall!

Seriously, I was glad Saturday to hear he is off on a family trip.  Of course Fred, always thinking ahead, had worked with Al and Leon to tune up our weed and brush trimmers the prior weekend.

I hope to be up in Sheepscot again next Saturday.  I see trains are fully crewed next weekend, so I'd like to be out cutting some the samplings Dwight noted along the right-of-way.  Better blade cutting now, that the need of chain saws later.

What–me worry?

Alna weather shows, except for Monday fog and showers on Friday, warm, decent wx this coming week.

Good luck.

All available hands on deck for Dana’s crew, please!

The trains are crewed, so hoping any hopeful volunteers are steered right to Dana’s effort.

Thanks!
Jason

I'll be there, but maybe only on a nipping bar. It's been two or three years since I've driven spikes.

Hello Mike Good job of work you did despite the bugs and the mud. BTW you should change your forum motto in doing way too mud to list.

Anticipated work for weekend of Saturday June 22:

* Track laying - the ramp track, on Saturday.  Ballasting may be involved.
* Other track work - should we finish early, perhaps other track work will be done.
* Boxcar 67
* Machine shop
* Concert Saturday evening.

I hope to leave home at my usual 0-dark-30 and that would put me in Sheepscot around 6:30 AM give or take a few minutes.  I'll start getting things organized for spiking and we'll commence spiking as soon as we can.  If we get it all spiked at our normal pace we should have time to put out ballast.  If we are really confident we could have the cars loaded with ballast before Saturday (if someone is available to do it) and once the track is spiked we can unload stone.  Should be another productive day.
