The boys in the shop, Brian, David, Jason, Chuck and Joe, have been  busy riveting the door and mud rings on No 9's new boiler, and re-building 7470's tender. (oh yeah, they were doing some other cool stuff on one of their Henschels, but I didn't get any pictures of that, sorry!)
Thanks to everyone at Boothbay Railway Village!

And 7470's tender tank
Out with the old...

In with the new!

Some of the stuff that comes out of your shop is really amazing inculding the rebuilt caboose and passenger car.  It is good to see the old skills combined with the new keeping our olde steamers and equipment going.
Maybe someday we will see brand new locomotives with the Boothbay builders plates on them.

It won't be long I bet. Jason and Brian put a lot of thought into what they do. They have a great crew working with them and are able to handle multiple projects in a timely manner.
