Jeff, grand stand still exists. Part of the school complex. When the field was built, the covered over on part of the wye to Harrison.

Phillip, I think it is something like 34.

The Bridgton school is no longer functioning as a school.  It was why "Bridgton Bill" and MNG wanted to move to Bridgton.

To clear up confusion, two boxcars are shipping north.  Both are ours, but we are trading one for a Brian flatcar.  As I understand it the flatcar is a kit, I have no knowledge of how it ended up that way.   When we are done we'll have 2 B&SR boxcars (don't forget 67), and a B&SR flatcar which will eventually be the home of the tank.

We are loosing Three spaces for equipment in the area where the new machine shop is.

To clarify, only the south ends of bays 2&3 have been blocked to equipment storage. Bay 1 was intentionally kept clear of "permanent" machinery to allow a run-through and storage if need be. Bays 2&3 can still accommodate two freight cars apiece. Though we did sacrifice the ability to keep a freight car and a passenger car in the same bay.

To answer Dave's question from a few minutes ago, I am quite sure the second B&W photo shows the grandstand for the baseball field at Bridgton Junction in the background.  It appears in many photos from the latter days of the B&SR and still stands today.  It is the white building dead center in this view from Google Earth.

Wood frame boxcars. Only metal is the truss rods. Braces and bolts.

The school still uses the grand stand, the old school behind them was replaced with a newer school between the grandstand and Route 302.

The last photo has boxcar 70 with B&HR. have done some research but have not found any info on this. can anyone offer some info.

Catwalk for the brakemen. The brakewheels were at roof height.
