New shop cranes, metal bandsaw and a boom truck.
« on: July 02, 2018, 07:55:14 PM »
Bud Davis delivered overhead crane rail last week to equip bays 1 and 3 with traveling gantry cranes like bay 2. The crane bridges are expected later this summer.

We found a good deal locally on a large Kalamazoo bandsaw for the shop Saturday and purchased the saw today.

The railroad obtained the use of a boom truck from Dave Allan. The truck will be put to immediate use on the mountain extension and bridge project.

The Bandsaw will be a great addition to the shop tools.  The two small ones we had weren't very effective.

Did the pizza come with the saw?
Were they hot?

I know Carl is being jestful as I suspect the boxes are bandsaw blades.

It was a clever question though.
