Sounds like a bunch of round bar stirrup cutting and bending, maybe some door track angle cutting and fitting.
So none of any existing steel parts can be heated, straightened for re-use?
Too bad.

We have a few metal parts that can be reused. Some require work. But not a complete set of metal parts for one box car.

Curiosity calls... what spot needs dirt?  around the base of the new ramp to the house?

While on the dirt subject...  how far was the ballast laid up the woods track?  I can see in the pictures it got beyond the tool house and perhaps as far as the invisible green box.  Was this the first covering of ballast or were the tracks surfaced, aligned and dressed?

Next to the container. I would like to create a spot for the stuff we don't want to toss, but too ugly to look at. Part of my pet peeve is the disorganized appearance that our visitors are presented pulling in our parking lot. We will never get rid of the disorganized stuff, but I want to make it so it is unseen..or at least organized.

Ballast was placed up to about the tool shed - or maybe a bit beyond that. The main goal was to get ballast through the switches in the North Yard, anything beyond that was a bonus.

It was just an initial covering of ballast; it was not lined/dressed/tamped.

Also, small trees that were starting to pop up along/near/within the woods track were removed.

One short section (about 6 ties) of the woods track was skipped before the Woods Shed. ROW has a high spot. Clay needs to be dug out before stone is added to ROW

The pile that was from the hole for the electrical building was removed this afternoon.
Fred and I made 30 trips or more with the tractor

* Mike did some maintenance on the forklift and was starting to put it to use when I left for ...
* ROW cleanup: A bunch of us went out with the two flatcars and cleaned up pretty much everything that was left from the storm on the entire line.  There's a few minor things here and there but we took care of most things.
* Yard cleanup (above): Mike and Fred's Excellent Tractor Adventures
* Boiler flanging: Alan was working on something to better facilitate the flange on the backhead.
