MNG in need of car roofers
« on: November 04, 2017, 04:36:59 AM »
Just saw this on the news. http://www.wmtw.com/article/narrow-gauge-railroad-museum-recovers-from-storm-damage/13151779
Any chance some of our coach 8 roofers may be available to give them some advice and or help?

Joe,

What a great idea for inter museum cooperation.  This is an opportunity for our museum and it's members to come to the aid of another.

Perhaps we could also consider asking them if our loaning them our coach 8 and/or ask Booth Bay if we could also loan them their coach for the holidays.

Here's the official release by our friends in Portland:

It appears they are looking to partner with SRRL in Phillips to store and repair coach 19.

While it would be a good idea for us to offer our coach 8 or Boothbay's coach-soon-to-be-back-as-a-baggage-car 11, both will be needed for our two weekends of Victorian Christmas.

Being the right thing to do to help friends, neighbors and colleagues in a time of crisis, I blegged on NGDF and RYPN about the plight of the coaches and that MNG needs help.

Glad to hear SR&RL in Phillips could offer a spot under cover for Coach #19. I bet it's a bit soggy in the car.
