Head Tide trail bridges

Steve Lennox led a crew this sumer to replace the trail bridges on the right of way north of RT. 218 in Head Tide.

First bridge in from Rt. 218. The Sheepscot River is just off to the right. This is the area the museum salvaged a coupler out of the river from a derailed flatcar.



Looking the opposite way back to rt. 218.  The river is on the other side of the trees.

The two most northern bridges are solid.  I walked over them two weeks ago while brush cutting the trail with Dave two weeks ago.

Is it wide enough to get a mower over?  I used to use my mower as much as I could because it was faster as long as you didn't hit stumps and old barbed wire.
