The comments from our first passenger is that it was kind of drafty and when I asked about it, he said the food service needs improvement! I'm confident that these issues will be worked out before the car goes on line for the public.  It was an exciting day moving the car with many talented people keeping a close eye on all aspects and possible problems. It went quite smoothly!

Well of course it was drafty.  Our first passenger had his window and his arm out.  Looking at the gloves he was wearing I would guess that the heat wasn't working properly either.

Reposted for my benefit.  I was exchanging emails with Mike today to thank him for posting the brilliant photos of coach No. 9 being moved from shop bay 2 to bay 4.  He mentioned the video link he had posted, which I had missed, as I had immediately focused on the photos.

Hi Ted,
There are a number of reasons including: (1) Bay 2 is needed for the overhead crane for planned work on locomotives 10 and 11. (2) Coach 9 in bay 4 puts the car in the wood shop where Eric, Ron and crew have better access to the woodworking tools to begin construction of the interior.

     Thanks for the explanation about the move. I am in favor of anything that makes it easier to build #9 passenger car and the #11 locomotive!

"There’s always a whole lot of work going on behind the scenes at Alna’s Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum, but over the past two years a replica of coach #3 has been taking shape. The idea arose five years ago and continued building steam.
