Paul, that's always a problem when the bank changes your credit card (probably for good reasons to prevent problems because of some hacking incident).  When that happens, I don't always remember where I have auto deductions, and I sometimes get caught unawares.

So for WW&F, do we have any mechanism to identify when this is a problem when we've got members who are on automatic contribution and it goes south like Paul describes?

Paul's auto charge was through PayPal, and for the last 5 months or so I'd get a notification that PayPal was unable to charge the card.

James...I've logged into PayPal instead of FundRazr using my new, lately issued, credit card with its  new gold security chip. Will my 21 Campaign contribs resume, instead of me sending you a monthly $21 check? Saves me trouble.
Thanks,
Paul

Paul, PayPal lets me know when an automatic payment gets set up.  You probably will need to start a brand new one, as PayPal gave up on your previous automatic payment.

Work done on Saturday April 22:

* Boiler plate flanging: Dave B was Harold's assistant.
* Boxcar 67: Zack, Stewart, and Dwight put siding on the east side of the car.
* Clean up: some of the steel stock leaning on the wall of Bay 2 was removed to outside; we took some of it to the storage container.
* Birthday caboose: A family gave their 2-yo a birthday party on the caboose, we gave them a ride out and back.

James forgot to mention work continued on the equipment car today. Jason wanted a way to address potential side thrust, and between he and I texting back and forth Friday, this was the result. The last thing I need to do is finish the tow point. I started today, but did not finish. Then when the trailer is flipped back over, I have more welding to do, frame to cross members and the plates I couldn't get today.

And Paint. Stewart and I talked paint for a second today, and I think I like his idea of black, atleast for the new frame, and the trailer School Bus Yellow.

Anticipated work for Spring Work Weekend: Friday - Sunday.

* Boxcar 67: siding, roof, ladder, doors, etc.
* Kitchen army
* Main line ballasting: ballasting track down the Mountain.
* Sheepscot platform repairs: parts of the platform is sinking on the track side; other parts aren't level.  The northern section needs to have holes dug underneath the platform to drop in concrete posts.  Once that's leveled out, the remainder of the platform may be fixed, depending on time.

Wowee...lots to do.

Will the work flat(s) be finished enough for rollout/use during the Weekend?  ;)

Will the north yard switch points arrive in time for install?  :)

Following all this work is MUCH more fascinating than current tv "fare".  ;D

I believe the north yard switch point install has been set back to when ever they arrive, as this current work weekend has the man power focused else where on projects that need many hands. Installing switch points only take 4-5 guys and our current projects could use up our potential 80 volunteers very easily.

Nancy Weeks is in charge of meals this weekends - and she will be making breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning!  7 - 9.

We haven't had breakfasts at the Museum since Bruce Wilson and John Bradbury were doing it ("back in the 90s" as Joe likes to say).

Lunch was fun in the wintertime with the Sheepscot Station building being the only heated structure.  It was a little crowded but we managed and wondering what the “Crockpot Special” was for the day.  Paper plates, wicker plates and plasticware.  Good times…………..

Spring Work Weekend - Day 2, Friday, April 28th.  Good number of volunteers on hand.

* Track - Stone was put out on the line going down the mountain.

* Boilers - #10's boiler shell got attention on the edges that mate.

* 67 - The north end sheathing was applied and most of the west side was covered as well until we ran out of lumber. Screw holes were filled and the knots binzed over.  The crew also started installing roof sheathing.  More wooden truck parts were made and the iron parts organized.

* Big Joe - Repairs were made to the tamping equipment.

* Sheepscot station platform - The low spot at the north end was lifted and the high spot at the south end was lowered.  The platform now has a nice straight floor.

* Meals - Nancy Weeks made a wonderful lunch and super.

* Archives - Bernie worked on the computer system.

* Equipment flatcar - More machine work was done on the first wheelset.

* Locomotives - Engine #3 and #9 were in steam, #9 hauled stone down the mountain and #3 served as the shuttle engine running people and supplies between the work zone and Sheepscot.

* Volunteers - 52 people signed the book.
