WW&F in Railpace
(1/1)
Wayne Laepple:
Just picked up the August issue of Railpace magazine. Page 39 features a nice photo of no. 10 and train at Alna Center, although the caption says the train is at a "siding a mile north of Alna." Has there been some stealth track construction? ;)
Mike Fox:
I recieved mine yesterday and when I read the caption and it made me think. What I figure is the photographer was refering to Sheepscot as Alna. Very nice photo though.

Joe Fox:
It is a great photo. Some guys at work (Conway Scenic Railroad) were looking at the book on Friday, and I happened to peak over Rudy's shoulder and see the WW&F. So I instantly said, I volunteer there. The other guys look at me, that looks like a good railroad, where is it at. So, I told them that it was near Wiscasset, and that I used to, and now only on occassion still fire that steam engine. Then Rudy chimes in, wouldn't it be nice to see steam here sometime soon.
Then there was another picture that show a guilford engine, except for it says Guilford Fail System, instead of Guilford Rail System. We all started laughing.
Talk to you guys later.
Joe
