HO Gauge WW&F Wiscasset station kit

I was doing some planning on a couple of HO gauge modules I am going to build for my local module group and needed a small station.  My local hobby shop suggested a Laser-Art HO 'Backwoods Junction Station', which I bought.  When I opened the box, low and behold, I discovered the following pedigree:

"This compact station is based on the 2 foot narrow gauge Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway's Wiscasset, Maine station..."  Needless to say I was delighted.      Of course now I know what colors to paint it.

It is a laser-cut wood kit PN 660. 

Alas, they don't offer it in other gauges.

Interesting that the "Backwoods Jct. Station" is based on the Wiscasset depot which was a busy place, fairly central to downtown Wiscasset.

I knew as I wrote it that the 'backwoods' station was going to get some flak.  Luckily it was not I who gave it that name.

Eustis Junction would have been a more authentic "backwoods junction" prototype, but then no one would have purchased the kit.

The kit is based on drawings done by Dave Frary in one of the model RR magazines years ago. I believe it was called Pritchard's Jct.
