Do we have an outline for projects for April?

At the very least, ballasting, tamping etc to the tracks in and approaching the car barn. 
Other potentials are:
#10 boiler work
Painting the car barn.
Car 67
Turntable
If there's time and people available, I know that Mike would like to see track laid down the Mountain toward the washout, so that we can fix the washout later in the year.

But we haven't really thought about it too much yet.

A lot of work for a few days, but James is correct. We have a little over 500' of rail in the pile at TOM, and if it was all laid out North, we would be about 150 feet shy of the washout. I have a plan to repair it and need rail laid to the washout to be able to repair it.

At the car barn...will finishing the two switches, building/hanging the big doors be part of the work? How about the Woods Spur? Section House finish?
Exciting, high-visibility stuff coming...cb paint, turntable setup, mainline extension so washout work can begin.

Forgot to mention "industrial park" sitework at TOM.

I am in the process of machining switch points for the two North Yard switches this winter here in Baltimore.  I actually have enough rail to make 5 points, and Jason had planned to make one in the Sheepscot shops; he has wanted to replace the short mine-type points in the switch to Bay 1 with longer, 12-foot switch points.

This spring I would like a couple of folks to help me finish a project that I have spent several days working on when it doesn't interfere with the major projects.  That is to drill and install the missing joint bar bolts on our main line.  There are still 15 left outside of the Sheepscot yard and the Alna North and South switches.  This is a small project that I would like to complete if it doesn't interfere with the major jobs.  I figure two, maybe three days for a very small group.

We're going to discuss it at the board meeting, but at least a few of us feel that the main line construction at ToM should become equal priority with the north yard completion.  There's probably enough folks around to allow both projects to happen at once.

And- Bill- I owe you an email answer on this topic!  If ToM becomes a priority, it'll affect plans for joint bar work.

If I can make it up for the SWW, I'll be more than willing to help out.  I'm praying for no more lost school days from snowstorms.

Jason and I had an off line conversation and if the BOD approves ToM work than I will hold the completion of the Joint Bar project for a later date.  Between North Yard and ToM and all the other projects there will be plenty to keep idle hands busy.

Oh, and I forgot burying utilities.  Although that basically a lot of digging ditches with the Kubota, which probably wants to happen when not too many people are around.

The official plan for the main body of work:

1.  Dana will lead track construction down the mountain. 
2.  Rick and Bill will lead the ballasting, raising and leveling of the north yard trackage.
3.  On Saturday, during the 12:30 trip which will return the crew to ToM, a stop will be made at Alna Center for a ceremony in honor Julius Stuck. 

As usual there will be a number of other projects- we do want to keep people busy.

I think yes, but it's a secondary goal to getting the rest of the north yard in service.
