30-year anniversary on Sunday October 25

Last night I happened to notice on my calendar that on October 25, 1985, Harry Percival bought the remaining assets of what was left of the WW&F.  That would be 30 years ago.

I've often wondered how Clarissa took the news of what Harry did.  Probably along the lines of "you did WHAT!?"

It was more like "Oh Harry..." 

Which is what Clarissa told me when I asked her about Harry starting the museum years ago.  She said that she was reluctant to accept the railroad idea at first but came to love it, especially all the new friends. They were special people and because of their work, Sheepscot is a special place.

I joined in 1989 when an article by Bruce Wilson was published about the museum. i was able to visit on some of the visits by the Monson #3 and later WW&F #10.
