Plow to track 1:  4 guys, 10 minutes.

Plow on diesel:  2 guys, 10 minutes.

Plowed to yard limit, cleaned up, back in barn: 2 guys, 30 minutes

Moved like butter...  Easter here we come!  (Today was proof of concept...)

Edit ps:  planning a Saturday plow party, prob not this but next, to allow more melting, and more help to clear xings, etc.

I knew if I played a little, it would give some motivation for the weekday crew. Track 1 was plowed with 1 guy in about 15 minutes Saturday to the run around..where I got bothered.

Saturday is Alna's Town Meeting day, so "townie" volunteers will be hard to find.

Report, Part 2 -

The "bus load" was the Away Team bringing some really cool donated things from an old mill building.  Fred, Zack, Mike and James did well being crows collecting some nice items such as a scroll saw, cast bridge washers, vintage burlap bags and a bunch of full oil cans.  The fooling around was the garage rats unloading and sort-of sorting the goodies in the garage.  There will be more trips to the mill building in a couple weeks as there are more things to recover.

Well, we spilled a can of nails but cleaned 'em up.  Yes, there are more containers of nails and screws, even the good stuff ... slotted screws!

Dana Deering headed up the team, only 10 miles from his home. We will need a really large crew the day we go to get the big stuff out. I hope we have a dumpster that day to get rid of the junk. The people  want the building empty so it can be taken down. I guess we have to empty it.

Hi All,

     I've been trying to keep the shingle mill project under the radar while some of the final details are worked out but this is something I've been working on for over ten years and it's finally come to fruition (after a series of near miracles) and I'll share some more detailed information with you all in a bit.  It's a very exciting development for our museum, I think.

* Easter setup - set up for Easter at Alna Center
* Loco 10 - prep for Easter
* Snow moving - hopefully the warm temps and rain Thursday will help get rid of a lot of it.

Plow train departs tomorrow (Thursday) around 830 or 9 am.  It should be back by Saturday morning.

Instead Saturday can be used to assess and set up AC as needed.

Also- no 10 will take priority over no 9 on Saturday.
