Well, since my post vanished when the server crashed, I decided to donate these two lanterns to the museum. I'll be mailing them out soon.

Hi Robert,

The gift shop crew is excited about the lanterns.  We will examine them and determine if we want to keep one or both.  Those old Armspear short globe lanterns fire well so we may be using them for night ops.

Thanks for helping the museum!

Give me about two weeks to get them out, need to find a good box to put them in and to get packing material.

Hi Mike,

I guess you mean purchase one from the WW&F gift shop once they have been examined by the gift shop crew.  Yes, you may buy one via gift shop mail order if we decide to sell one (or both).  We will post a notice if that's the case and advise the price(s) of the lanterns.

Thanks for your interest

Well being from Long Island and a LIRR historian I have too but you all are more important. Then again I would buy them to donate them to my NRHS chapter.
