"... the country's only two-foot narrow gauge railroad!"

(1/2) > >>

Dave Buczkowski:
I sat down to look at the mail after work tonight and opened a letter from the MNGRR by Donnell Carroll enclosing the Annual Report and requesting a donation "To restore the vision of preserving the country's only two-foot narrow gauge railroad!" Underlining added. Who knew? Wonder what those guys in Alna are up to? Do I need stronger glasses?

Mike Fox:
Unfortunately, this is not the first time this has been said. I know they mean well, but the spokesperson(s) need to better research their statements. I, actually we (my family), owe the fine folks that used to be at MNGRR a big thank you for pointing out the WW&F. Without them, we would never have visited so early, which led to Joe wanting to volunteer, which led us to doing it again, and again.....

Ira Schreiber:
Just change the word "country" to "county" and the statement is correct.

Not I.

No good, no doubt.  I've met a few of them.

Yes.

John McNamara:
I, like Mike, owe MNG many thanks for introducing me to the WW&F at a "Railfair" table in their buildings many years ago. The table was manned by an old gent and a young guy.  :)

p.s. I wonder how the Cripple Creek & Victor folks would feel about this.
