Nice set of timeless pics I love those black and white photos that perfectly show the steamy, smoky atmosphere that is around the engineshed yard when locomotives are builbing steam and the  crew is busy getting them ready . Thank you so much Brendan.

I would like to echo Alain’s comments Brendan. A great set of photos very evocative of a lost time. Thanks so much  for sharing them.

The "new" loader and bulldozer parked next to each other. The machines are contemporaries of each other having left the Case plant in the early 1970's. The loader is a 1972 and the dozer is right around the same year.

Maybe we should have named them "Hesper" and "Luther Little"

No, we want them to stay upright and unburned.

Pretty sure the dozer is a 73. Hard to believe it is newer..

Great buys, always useful.
Suggest re-installing the roll cage on the loader when you can. ;)

Roof is off for the summer. It will make the trip up to Alna later this year, and be on before winter.

And not stuck in the mud.

Thanks for the photos, Brendan.

A patron of the 6-22-2019 concert sent me this photo of the full rainbow over the train at AC.

Magnificent, Ed! A big thank you to that kind patron.

Shades of Judy Garland singing  "Somewhere, Over the Rainbow" in The Wizard of Oz in 1938, if I remember correctly. I was 9 years old. Can still picture Margaret Hamilton, as the Wicked Witch, pedaling her bicycle like the furies and cackling--as she ascended inside the tornado. Gave me a right proper nightmare after I bedded down.

Thank you so much Brendan. It's kind of you to think of the away members and friends  and have them be part of a such amazing event through your beautiful pictures. Have a good FWW.
