With number 9's boiler out of the way the Sheepscot team track is open for business.

Perhaps the South end of the woods track will be our team track.  With dock for loading excavator, dozer and materials.

Eventually using the end of the Woods Spur as team track sounds totally ideal.

Hope Kubota injector system redo cures its hiccups.
Both it and Case-y are invaluable for continuing WW&F improvements.

No. 9's boiler is currently in use by the photo prop department on 126.

As we get the sawmill/shingle mill built, and we continue to clear the ROW down the mountain, a timber transfer may well be needed up at the sawmill to unload the logs for the mill.  A smaller but just as neat gantry system would come in very useful.  Start you're just way ahead of your time

Brendan, congrats on the precision parking of the trailer next to FC 118 on the team track. Looks parallel to within plus or minus 0.1 inch! Give Yetti some peppermint flavored gas as her reward.

Kubota loaded up on 118 Friday to finish the ditching work needed to extend the mainline next weekend. The last fifty ties that needed to go north were loaded on too.



We used the trailer as a loading dock.

Too bad the trailer can't go north.
The coming woods/parking lot track will be handy-dandy.

I would want an engineered structure. Not something that will crumple and trap the operator.

By the way, trailer works good loading the excavator, but the dozer was much trickier. I like loading that over the end..

I would say turning Case-y's steel treads is not only more difficult than steering soft tires, the wooden decks would be splintered over time.
But the use and convenience factors are strong.
Go figure.
I also support adding a strong roll cage, especially along the coming hilly, northern ROW "washout zone" work.
