The brakeman just set the South Yard switch for the main and 10 is heading south on the main to pick up the train.







Waiting for the conductor to give the departure signal.



The reverse signal has been given and the 10 am train departs north.

I had an eerily similar encounter this afternoon in my own backyard, oddly enough, also in the vicinity of (much) narrow(er) gauge tracks.

12/13/14 run to Alna Center to clear out the crossings for Victorian Christmas and test the new stack extension in number 10.

Between 1/2715 to 2/4/15 Sheepscot has received almost four feet of snow. Another 10-15 inches of snow is predicted by Tuesday morning. Pay attention to Ichabod disappearing on track 4 during the week.

Even the mighty Yeti looks humbled by the snow accumulation.  Now I don't feel so bad about the mere 18 or so inches we have on the ground here in central CT.  Thanks for keeping the rest of the world up to date, Brendan!

I felt like the fat kid in gym class just walking around the house in knee deep snow to clear the dryer vent. If you want to try to work in that much snow, go for it.
