Sheepscot Thursday April 9 about 6:30 pm. We ended up with around 6-8 inches of heavy wet snow.

The right of way looking south from Cross Rd.

Looking east up Cross Rd. to RT 218.

That's a signal equipment box salvaged by the RR. IIRC, it's old MEC, from someplace local.
Someone else here can provide furthers, I'm sure.  ;)

Harry Percival brought the signal box in when he was working for Maine Coast Railroad, as he was planning to cross the road.  This would have been early 1990s.  At one point all the batteries for it were stored upstairs in the Percival house.

A passenger sent this photo in from 8/22/2020 Ice Cream Eggspress.

Rainbow during blowdown. The picture doesn't do it justice - it was a full arc and plainly visible. I had never seen one form during a blowdown so fully and clearly before.

Thanks for posting the cool B&W photos of B&SR/MNG No. 7, Brendan. Makes me want to come to Maine in August.

Thank you so much Brendan for sharing those great B&W pictures that take the away crowd way back in the 30's. I do like the one taken from the top of the tankcar.

Now that is a picture I would like to see on an Annual basis.  Think we need a bigger engine-house.
