New wrist pin bushings were installed on the connecting rods this afternoon. Getting ready for installation in the block when it returns.

Block is done. Picking it up Friday morning. The guy charged me nothing. He wants to come down for a train ride this summer. Pretty sure the 30/1000ths he took out of each sleeve is well worth it.

Great nooz!
Now you have something to do besides swilling crunjola out of the Continental's gas tank.  ;D
2926's ancient big Clark forklift (AFAIK was a Navy plane unloader) has a Cont 6. Once we got the sixth cylinder to fire, re-wired it, rebuilt the starter, the clutch, the transmission, the carb, the steering  box, leaky hydraulics,  it runs strong, works fine.

Ya should have a Kubota-is-back party when it's running again.  :D

Reassembly continued today, with the crank getting new bearings and 2 of the 3 pistons installed. I broke a piston ring installing, and the old ones are too worn to use, so I had to stop. I have plenty of other things I can do while awaiting the new ring set, so I am not at a stopping point.

New rings arrived early. While I was thinking of it, I also purchased a new thermostat, and it came in the same box. So I will continue Friday where I left off on Saturday.

Motor parts are easy. I have been having trouble getting exact replacements for bushings on the boom, so Jason has ordered a couple Drill Bushings that we will make what we need to and install.


Today the last piston was installed, the fuel pump, Camshaft, crank shaft gear, and idler gear were all installed and timed, and the new oil pump was also put in.

The new head arrived this week, and may be installed Saturday afternoon.

Once the engine is reinstalled in the Kubota, I suggest urgent consideration be given to applying rollover protection.
