Here you are Mike. I have to flip the pintle ring on the trailer so the trailer will sit level.

A couple underneath shots, pretty clean for a New England trailer.

Looks very clean underneath. Better than my daily drag. Thanks Brendan.

I believe it's 20 tons.

20 tons, and the Dairy car weighs about 13,000 pounds. The trailer is a little overkill, but we'll take it.

Just found the perfect rig for the haulage department. I'm saving my coins.

That's a nice set up, it gives you an idea how the "ramp" portion works.  Maybe we can have a slide out rail piece on our trailer?

I am sure we can come up with something that will work as good.

We'll be hanging off the other side of the rt 1 bridge picking up the dairy car. The pete would probably be faster than yeti. Maybe we can get a good trade in value.

Yes, it would have to be an early morning drop or pick up.

I have discovered some issues with the trailer. Nothing that can't be fixed, and I have started on it already. I spent some time at the local NAPA Saturday and found some brake springs that are a close match to the ones on it now. At a huge savings to the museum. But in the process of removing springs to compare at NAPA, one of the brake shoes fell apart. Luckily I had already rescued some shoes from a scrap trailer at work and have kept the decent ones.  I have also just found some new shoes online and they will shipped Tuesday.

The trailer will also need some tires. I have noticed dry rot on a few, with the one flat, that was a result of the spring failure work weekend.

We can fix it. Just will take time and a little money.

We have discussed the modifications needed to the deck and we will get started on that as soon as the brakes and tires are done.

Just curious but what size tire and ply rating does the trailer require?

I think it is a 8.50-14, but don't hold me to it. I forgot to write the numbers down so guessing from memory.
