Bill, is there a lock to keep the seats from tilting during operation on the line?  The seats look great. Dave Crow
Dave, no, there isn’t. One’s weight is well aft of the hinge point so it shouldn’t be a problem. If it is I can figure out a lock. Our trains aren’t known for their sudden stops.

Hey Bill, where are you getting all these nifty seats for 51 and 52? They look great!
-John M
they are Wise fishing boat seals available from Amazon and many other sources. If they wear out they are easy to find replacements.
That explains what the little loop device hanging down (long) in the center is. ::)

Today I cleaned, lubed and moved the red “T” handle as the first part of a long term project to re-do the dash. Brenden cautioned me not to pull the handle unless it is an emergency and the engine is running away and can’t be shut down.
When pulled a spring loaded flap shuts off air to the engine. It is spring loaded and we are not sure if it can be reset without tearing it apart.

BTW, the front lights on 52 have been repaired. Also, the rebuilt air compressor works really well and the system doesn’t leak down after it is shut down like it use to.

In order to remove the radiator they had to cut the wires. As I redo the wiring I will use connectors like a car harness.
