That's OK Mike. I don't think they're planning to run the track through the restrooms.  ;D
This reminds me of a Vaughn Monroe song of many, many years ago - "The Railroad Comes Through the Middle of the House."

Stewart,  Thank you for the update on Itchy and Scratchy installing the foam insulation.  Also, information on the parking lot work, looking forward to next week-ends Christmas trains.   Fred L. Kuhns

The progress on the restrooms is really excellent. I think I asked someone about this particular issue before, but I don't recall the response. Will the urinals in the men's portion be the waterless variety? From what I've seen, they are being installed at roadside comfort stations, campgrounds, etc. because they reduce the quantity of water entering the on-site sewage systems. I've even seen them in restaurants and public buildings.

Wayne,

AFAIK the urinals are the regular water flush type.  Of course the newer ones use less water.  BTW the front door went on today so we can heat the building to work inside.  Also, Steve Z. and crew finished the west side battens.  When the door was on, he finished the front as well.  It looks nice!

I don't want to start a pissing match here, but from what I've read, waterless urinals have the potential to save as much as 40,000 gallons of water per year per unit. That's a lot of water not to pump out of the ground and run through the sewage system. Is it too late to consider going waterless?

I recognize that number; it's what you read right in front of you as you use the product (at least in the Kennebec rest area). I think there is some maintenance requirement involving the magic little cartridge. At any rate, I'm sure that our resident master plumber has made his choice.

We've actually already ordered the fixtures.

We can certainly consider the waterless types for future upgrades.  Right now the goal is get the darn thing operating!

Thought some may like to see the interior. A week ago, the insulation contractor, Itchy and Scratchy, sprayed the walls and ceiling with expanding foam insulation. Gray in color, and dried quickly. The pictures were taken Saturday morning, before Josh R. did some more electrical work.

No camera today, just the phone. So the pictures are a little fuzzy.

1st sheet on the ceiling. We started on the mens side. Caught Fred in action.

1st sheet installed on the wall, mens side.

Surprised Fred didn't favor us with a song. "Waiting for the screws to go in"

This week Zack installed a good bit of the cold water feeds in the mechanical room.  The pipe coming into the building feeds the water tanks then goes down along the wall to where each fixture goes.
