Mike, thanks for photos. The new sheathing looks great, makes me want to jump in the truck and head to Maine right now.  Can't wait to work on the building in April ... if there's anything left to do!  All kidding aside, the regular crew is doing a super job.

happy new year!!! as some of you know, my wife is president of the largest all-volunteer historical society in the state outside of charleston, many millions in assets and a 6 figure annual budget. she has no interest in the wwandf as she was not fortunate enuf to grow up in maine as i did. but she has been there many times, most recently last august when tha extension foundation was just formed. i showed her the last shot of the extension and all she could say was 'i sure wish we could get those guys down here to do our stuff, i can get tons of grant money but not craftsmanship like that!!!' ..... 'nuff said.... dale reynolds, pendleton sc

Some more siding was put up Saturday, this time around the peak of the south side wall.  This photo was taken around 2.45 p.m., shortly before Dave B. and I left.

That's Zack on top of the staging and Leon on the lower level.

Here's what the front looked like at the end of the day on Saturday, 1/3/09. The cuts around the doors and windows are pretty tricky.

More great shots.  Thanks to Bill and Mike.  Gee, with the South sheathing going on, Josh R. will be able to install the new front light soon.

It's all good.

Mike & Bill,
Thanks for the update photos.  Looks like the addition is coming along great. It appears the building will be fully weather tight before too long.  Great work all.

Bay 4, machine shop, As you look at building from the road bay 4 is on the left  The machine shop is the only section heated with fuel oil boiler using two hot water blower heater units.

The car shop is heated with body heat only.  The extension was built with the thought that at a later time we might want to install heat into it.
