Steve Hussar made another version of the headlamp graphic. What does everyone think?

Stop fooling around with the forum. Pick a graphic and then leave it alone.
Don't ask me. I only cut the grass. Oops, I don't even do that anymore.

Truth be told the previous headlight graphic made it much easier to know if there was a change.  The new one you have look closely to see what the status is.

I don't see any headlight now when I log in. Did things change again?

Dave,
The headlights are there, they just aren't illuminated in yellow anymore.

No, the headlamp "new message" indicators should be on the forum home page. The "new message" light is a little dimmer than it was before.

I am experimenting with the whole forum look - but nothing is live yet. Specifically, I'd like to "join" it with the rest of the WW&F web page. In other words, it will have the same tuscon red background/gold text as the main web site does.

I'll also implement the minimal smileys at that time and go back to the original headlamp indicators (I agree that they don't stand out like they should.)

Then again, I might abandon the whole effort, if it looks like garbage.

I concur that the previous, larger headlights were better.

I like the color version of the headlights. Very nice.

Ed;
Despite what Duncan said I can't view the new headlight on my work PC. On my Mac at home I can see Steve's new headlight. What I see on the PC is a solid triangle with a line across it on an angle sort of like a see-saw. Has anyone else had this problem?

Dave,
I see the same thing that you do. No headlight, just a slashed triangle.

I had the same problem until after my PC crashed one time and I was suddenly logged out.  When I logged back in the headlights were there.  You could try:
1. logging out and logging back in
2. clearing your temporary internet files

I'll go for the "highbeam" look also.  Much easier to notice.......
