Rockland Branch sinks?!

south of Wiscasset...this portion of the railway has sunken into the river!

I see that is where they laid the third rail to allow #9 to go to Trainfest in 2009.

Too bad, I heard that we were going to run it to Iowa this year, doubleheaded with BSR #7.

No ... that's for the WW&F Merchant Marine Division.  The next convention will be held at 50 feet, BYOS.    (bring your own scuba gear)

If the water is over 6" deep....they may have trouble with their traction motors shorting....
But what the hey, I say give it a try!

You obviously haven't heard that the Maine Eastern today inked a long-term lease with the City of Waterville for No. 470, and they are also negotiating to bring No. 519 to help them out with this high water problem.
