WW&F No. 52 - Official Work Thread

<< < (17/17)

Bill Baskerville:
Today I cleaned, lubed and moved the red “T” handle as the first part of a long term project to re-do the dash. Brenden cautioned me not to pull the handle unless it is an emergency and the engine is running away and can’t be shut down.
When pulled a spring loaded flap shuts off air to the engine. It is spring loaded and we are not sure if it can be reset without tearing it apart.

Bill Baskerville:
BTW, the front lights on 52 have been repaired. Also, the rebuilt air compressor works really well and the system doesn’t leak down after it is shut down like it use to.

Mike Fox:
Fantastic Bill.

John McNamara:
Great news! What was the problem?

In order to remove the radiator they had to cut the wires. As I redo the wiring I will use connectors like a car harness.
