According to the Bangor Daily News, the land and buildings of the former Moosehead Manufacturing Co. will go to auction again on May 5.

Carl Vainio, owner of the rest of the former Monson Maine Slate Company, bought the Moosehead furniture (former MMSC) plant at auction on May 5 for $50,000. According to news reports, he plans to reopen some of the abandoned quarries.
