Mike, I'm saving those "other" photos in case I need them in the future.... I also have some of the friendly bull and horse as well as Carl's dog dressed in blaze orange. The one of the deer won't be posted for fear of the PETA folks.
Thanks again to all those who participated.

Dale;
It's not something I focused on as it is not historic to the site though I have explored it a bit. Do you have any specific questions I could try to answer.

dave, thanks for the reply, do you know who/why it was built? there were several structures there to replicate that would have been better choices?
take care, dale

Dale;
I believe it was another local group that received permission from the Albion Historical Society. The group apparently needed a place to do its blacksmithing. They do not seem to be interested in the WW&F. I was appalled at a non-replica building being erected but it wasn't my call.

Replica or not, the Blacksmith shop was built Post and Beam construction. Exactly how a building like that would have been built back in the lat 1800's to early 1900's. Some modern style nails were used (no cut nails or square heads) as needed. I myself love going in that new old structure just to look at it. The craftmanship and construction leave me in awe. A great representation to what one could or would have looked like back in the day.

The Albion station is lovely. Does it get used for anything by the citizens of Albion?

Jock;
I don't think it is used by the citizens of Albion in large part because as it is currently configured it is not conducive to medium or large groups. there are also parts and materials stored that take up much of the available first floor space. The second floor is not complete yet and the stairs are not such that you would want the public climbing them.

Did a drive by today. To date, Carl has left things in place, with the critter near the North end of track and the Flanger right behind it next to the platform.

Mike,
That's certainly good to learn! I'll have to give Carl a call to see what he has in mind for this November.
