I have all ready talked to Nick and Jason on these trucks.
Unfortunately they are small with only 12" wheels. The WW&F standard wheels are all 20". Also, they are very short wheel base.
Thanks for keeping the WW&F in mind and you never know when something can pop up we can use.

The spikes sound like mine or amusment park for use with 12# rail so would be too small for the WW&F just a guess.

With regards to the loco mentioned at the top of the page - I think we've had enough of 30" to 24" gauge conversions.

Avoid "blind" loco's.  Unfortunately the nature of the beast is that it will "hunt" directionally as it travels down the track.  Kinks and bends will only become worse with each additional trip.  It's always worse is the weight of rail decreases.  The museum needs to focus on locos that have at least a lead or trailing truck.  The best situation would be both lead and trailing truck e.g. a 2-4-2 or 2-6-2.

Remember, that a Forney was designed as a bi-directional locomotive, with the bunker portion as the "front". This made it a 4-4-0T

Don't you mean a (reversed 4-4-0T) which is really a 0-4-4T?  Help me out, does anyone have a 2-4-4T forney?  I know there's one somewhere out there but I can't remember where.  (Senior Moment  )

Tom, if you mean WW&F No 9, she is the same wheel arrangement as No 10, an 0-4-4T. No 11 on the other hand, will definitely have a front truck -these are the wheels for it...

This engine appears to be similar in many ways to the S.D. Warren tank engines. Just a little bigger and wider..... Too bad the owner hasn't posted more information, such as weight, driver diameter, cylinders, etc.

Just out of curiosity, I e-mailed the owner of this little locomotive. According to him, it weighs 10-12 tons. The photos he sent reveal a literal pile of iron, with only a few items recognizable as components of a locomotive. If you want to see 'em, send me a PM.
