Hey Steve,

Great photo. Love the way the smoke turned out. Looks like that is from the second run by. Do you think you, or maybe somebody else can post the two photos that we tried recreating yesterday, with Dana, Brian, and myself, and the other photo with Dana, and me holding the oil can. Talk to you later.

Hey all,

Just wanted to let you guys know that due to my current work schedule at work, I plan on being at the museum for the Spring work weekend. I look foward to it.

Track work at Conway Scenic is a little different from that of the narrow gauge, aside from the machines that we have. At first I thought a neumatic air hammer was the greatest thing in the world, however, it won't work on every tie. Some ties are to hard, so the air hammer just bounces off the spike, so then we have to finish them off by hand. All in all, a spike maul is also a lot lighter to carry than an air hammer.

I was dissapointed to miss the fall work weekend, due to my work schedule, but hey, such is life.

Talk to you guys later.

Joe

Ps. When do you guys start working on Fridays for the work weekend?

It would be nice to see at least passenger trains return to Fryeburg once again.

A few people at work (Conway Scenic Railroad) would also love to see a Conway Scenic train run to Fryeburg and transport people back and forth to North Conway.

It is a great photo. Some guys at work (Conway Scenic Railroad) were looking at the book on Friday, and I happened to peak over Rudy's shoulder and see the WW&F. So I instantly said, I volunteer there. The other guys look at me, that looks like a good railroad, where is it at. So, I told them that it was near Wiscasset, and that I used to, and now only on occassion still fire that steam engine. Then Rudy chimes in, wouldn't it be nice to see steam here sometime soon.

Then there was another picture that show a guilford engine, except for it says Guilford Fail System, instead of Guilford Rail System. We all started laughing.

Talk to you guys later.

Thanks for the excellent pics Steve. I wish I could have been there. Did you, or anybody else on the forum shoot any video of the picnic?

Wow, imagine seeing that beautifull car being pulled in Bridgton by #7. Great pic Steve. How often does Boothbay run this coach?

Great pics Dad. Now all us B&SR railfans should go there, and ask when the rest of the Bridgton equipment is coming up this way. I would love to see B&H #7 there with two coaches running on at least a mile of track. Then again, I would just love to see steam in Bridgton, on the origianl railroad grade. LOL.

Can people please post any pictures that they take of the Picnic on the forum please. I miss the museum verry much and not being able to be down there in such a long time is starting to suck.

I miss not seeing steam also. Cownay isn't running steam until Railfans weekend, which is a huge let down to me and a lot of others. Oh well.

Will somebody let me know if they plan on going to the museum on a monday or tuesday please. I will go then and do work. Or somebody can tell me what work I can do, and I can try and get it done. My preference would be track work, if I can do any by myself.
