Work and Events / Albion Day 2008
« on: October 27, 2008, 10:33:49 AM »
All;
   I was just wondering what time the caravan will leave Sheepscot on Saturday for Albion. I presume we will continue relaying the track we started last year but I don't know who is in charge this time around.
   And Duncan, as James can tell you, Carl serves lunch at 1:00 PM

Duncan;
   Always about the lunch! No wonder you're always first in line! And they give me grief! Just make a kielbasa sandwich with some sauerkraut.

Patrick, All you have to do is appoint judges sympathetic to your your position. I hope your wrist is on the mend. Dave

Ouch! Patrick, maybe it's time to take away the F150 again.

And don't forget the survey crew that surveyed for the new round house and car barn. The Quality Control Officer did, indeed, reject the two on the ground lest someone think the rail crew had the dropsies.

Wayne;
   For a donation on your part to the Museum I will be glad to pound spikes in your place giving you full credit for the work done. I look forward to seeing you again. It's always nice to see everyone at the Museum.

Steve;
   I think you should put a WW&F Ry logo on the dolly. Spread the word. Nice photos, I was hoping someone would post them and knowing you were in Vermont I wasn't sure I'd get to see any.

How about T-shirts? I think you could sell a few of those. You have to sew patches on a shirt or put them in a display case. Nice logo. I'd buy a shirt (XL please...) I'm sure allan wouldn't mind displaying a few at the WW&F. It's a good way to contribute to the return of the the two footers to their original home in Maine.

 Dr. Wayne;
    Thanks! I could use a refill, I ran out of my prescription a few weeks ago. See you soon.

Is there any relation between Two Forks and Two Ties? I'm thinking Two Ties is a younger Steve Zuppa and Two Forks is an older version. Hmmm. And Duncan, you are no doubt correct. Time to go to the gym so I can keep up with the young guys.

I'm wondering why "incredible" Steve didn't bring his fork lift when we loaded the 70 lb rail. I can't imagine it's because he thought my muscles were big enough...

Stewart;
That's what Steve Hussar and I proposed a while ago in support of obtaining the AA Dump Truck. There are many parades in the area during the summer such as Bristol, Round Pond, Somerville, etc. that we could participate in. I think it's a great idea as their are many "from away" people that atttend those parades.

We have a secret cache of creosote that we bought a few years ago. It's a messy job but someone has to do it!

        Are you still planning to move rail and ties this coming Saturday the 30th?
