Museum Discussion / Make Way for Goslings
« on: May 15, 2021, 08:43:43 PM »
A couple of weeks ago I noticed a young goose family wandering on the ROW south of Sheepscot.  Last Saturday I caught them crossing Cross Road.  One of the parent was standing in the road keeping an eye on traffic and on the kids, and when I approached got the family together to cross over to the pond.  This week they were missing.  Stewart said that he saw a hawk show up this past week, and the family disappeared, so I hope that they found safer digs instead of becoming a meal.

Volunteers / 2020 Off-site hours
« on: March 01, 2021, 07:59:45 AM »
I'm finally in a position to accept 2020 off-site hours for inclusion in last year's volunteer record.  You can email me your hours.

The best format is a spreadsheet with columns of beginning date and time, ending date and time, and description of what you did.  You can also get me the date and number of hours and what you did.  If your hours aren't tracked in a spreadsheet, a Word Doc is OK, as is putting it in the body of the email.

Thanks to the pandemic and all the shutdowns and cancelations, total hours for last years are way down (no surprise there).

US Two Footers / Mystery Two Foot
« on: August 03, 2020, 09:23:02 PM »
Came across a slide that's only marked "2 foot gauge railroad".  The year is 1970, taken by my father.  I can't identify it.  It's not Boothbay Railway Village - the rail is too heavy, the locomotive isn't right.  Pretty certain it's not Edaville - same deal.  Anyone with any ideas?
