That is amazing. I remember having a nightmare when I was a kid, caused by an image in an old railroading book my father had. The picture was an illustration that showed a brakeman trying to hold the link and simultaneously drop the pin. Sort of like this image, but even more scary looking -- if that's possible!

Really all I did was take pictures...Mike on the other hand risked life and limb (bees!) building the track for the handcar many months ago and Stewart bought and donated the awesome truck!

I bet #11 will be done in less time than TornadoAbsolutely, and dont forget we've got many, many drawings, a big new lathe, and a place to build her. That's more than the A-1 group started with. Oh yeah, almost forgot the original throttle lever from No 7...can't go anywhere without that!

All, Bernie Perch sent these new pictures of the just received castings for No 11's bell bracket -- which look fantastic...thanks Bernie!! I almost cropped the second picture showing Bernie's shoe, but I thought it was good for scale...so I left it in...shows how big this stuff really is!!
