The Original W&Q and WW&F: 1894-1933 / Electric Headlights
« on: November 17, 2010, 10:44:24 AM »
When did the WW&F equip electric headlights? I'd like to model the WW&F in Trainz or Microsoft Train Simulator, and I need to know the date that they were fitted.

Museum Discussion / Mixed Trains?
« on: November 17, 2010, 10:43:01 AM »
Does the WW&F museum ever run mixed trains? The original WW&F ran a lot of mixed trains, (as did all the two-footers). Besides, the museum doesn't appear to have too much passenger equipment.

Museum Discussion / WW&F caboose 320

Is the caboose 320 a replica of any specific WW&F caboose? Like, from the original railway?

I need to know the exact years in which:

1. Full passenger (not mixed train) service was ended.
2. Railbus #5 was built.
3. Locomotives #20 and #22 were retired.
4. Combination #14 recieved her new roof.

Why do I need this? I intend to build a SR&RL model railroad someday, and I need to know this for it.

Sandy River & Rangeley Lakes Railroad / SR&RL #9 and #21 photos?
« on: October 26, 2010, 03:20:22 PM »
I'm doing a research project on the Maine 2 Ft. gauge lines, and I need good photos of #21 and #9, and I need them to be after they were fitted with electric headlights.

I really need a photo of the B&SR caboose for a modeling project I'm doing.

I've heard that the Brecon Mountain Railway had a 1897 2-6-2, built by Baldwin. Does anyone have a good photo of it? I was wondering if it was anything like our beloved WW&F #6.

I'm new here, and I was really wondering if there are any surviving pieces of any of the SRRL engines? That way if the Sandy River Railroad Park can find any, they can build a replica that at least has some parts of the original.
