I think the placement of the car is going to work out for MNGRR. Especially if someone were to make a sign stating the car is on loan from them. I went by today and there were a couple of gentlemen looking the car all over.

I talked to Dana this past weekend and he and I thought a mid October would be ok. Not to cold, no bugs and some leaves should be off the trees by then. I will have to get back to you on the dates, as Albion Day and Fall track work weekend are also in that time frame.

Matt,
If you think that was something, show up for a work weekend and watch (and help) the railroad grow. It's a great time and guarantee you won't forget it.

The engineer seems impatient at Alna Center. It's a good thing Shack took the day off or he'd be pacing, looking for 'bos.

Thanks Stewart. I am thinking of a spot to build another. I think it will have more than a trackside view. Could be a good surprise for next years picnic.

Here is part of a staged shot we had on Saturday. I know the train is backing but I had to return to my post on the handcar before the return. I built this track back in April or early May just for this day. We all agreed it was perfect. By this time next year, I think I'll have another one built. Location yet undecided.

Hope I can make it. I would love to stage something on the new jigger track at the Trestle.

That's always a possibility. Dana missed that one. Hope we can get him to join us on this one.

I recieved mine yesterday and when I read the caption and it made me think. What I figure is the photographer was refering to Sheepscot as Alna. Very nice photo though.

The roof color most likely was originally that way. Over the years, the soot coats it to make it look more maroon or even black.

Due to size restrictions, I'll have to do it this way. 1 picture per post.

Well, I finally took a short ride this morning. For all those from away, you'll enjoy these. Click on the picture to make it larger.
