James  I sure would like to know where that perception came from. I think that the Charette that was held last weekend will go a long way to dispelling the rumors and that perception. There are still a few out there from away ,that are in power, that think that this is going down the wrong road and have become verbal naysayers. It's my hope that they will see the light of day soon and become positive supporters of the project. I know that when I put the 1st print in the 4 print series on the 4 Seasons on the B&SR up for sale to raise funds and awareness, it was the towns people that bought 40 out of the 50 limited edition prints. When I went around to everyone in town asking for help when I started this project, no matter how big or small the request was, EVERYONE pitched in. That in itself has told me that I was on the right track (no pun intended). I can not wait till the snow melts and we can get back to finishing the platform and making arrangments to get another piece of historic equipment back home to Bridgton. I believe that this project could and will benefit all in the narrow gauge community including the MNG. I would like to thank all that have helped to date and invite anyone that has an interest in what we are trying to do in Bridgton, to come join us. All are welcome! Bill Shelley  Return of The Rails

TO ALL -FYI  The second print in the series of 4 Bridgton & Saco River RR prints will be coming out around the 1st of April. It will be the Summer scene and will have # 1 drifting into North Bridgton. It is a view taken from one of my unpublished photos. It is circa 1900's. Call the Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce for more info @ 207-647-3472. There are great things starting to take shape in Bridgton as it pertains to the railroad and its return. I hope to have more info to report shortly. All proceeds go to further the effort to return equipment and some rail to Bridgton. Thanks to all for your support as we move forward with this effort. Anyone up for laying some Rail???  ::) :o ;D  Bill Shelley Return of The Rail

No Stewart, I don't. I was unable to get one as I started a little late on that one project and I was not sure if I was going to be able to be back up there. Hopefully next year  when we have gotten up a little more head of steam (funds). Thanks for asking. Bridgton Bill

Ok OK  You caught me on vacation down south. It is a red Suburban and it says " PLEASE SUPPORT - RETURN OF THE RAILS -  BRIDGTON, MAINE.  Maybe I will take this project country wide? In case anyone is interested, I had a painting done of #8 going along Hancock Pond in the Fall with all the colors. I had 50 16 X24 prints done of it and they are signed and numbered by the artist. They are for sale at the Chamber in Bridgton for 49.95 plus 6.00 shipping if needed and were done as a fund raiser for the project. Phone number for the Chamber is 1-207-647-3472 if you want to call and order one. This is the 1st in a series of four called The 4 seasons along the Bridgton and Saco River Railroad. The next one will be a summer scene with a train drifting into North Bridgton from Harrison circa 1900's. When I last talked with the Chamber there were only 12 prints left of #1. There are still some Return of the Rails t-shirts left if anyone is interested. I will be back in Maine next week for the train show at the Big E in Mass and then back to Bridgton to work on a few things for a week or so  then back south. Take Care All and I hope the new year is treating you well. Bridgton Bill
