Looking forward to seeing and working with everyone again in a few weeks for this October's work weekend.  Wish I could make it more often but Texas is a long ways away.

I assume there will be some folks staying at the Wiscasset Motor Lodge.  Anyone willing to give me a ride to the museum so I can leave the rent car with the wife?  I'll be there Sat - Sun - Mon.

Hello to all from Texas where is daily is in the low 100s.  It's been a few (too many) years since this member (L 517) has been up to Maine to spend some time working alongside ya'all.  Wife and I will be in Wiscasset from Sat afternoon Aug 11 till Wed Aug 15, then down a bit in Bath for a few more days.  I see the annual picnic is Aug 12.  Can I assume there will be folks staying at the Wiscasset Woods lodge and I can hitch a ride to breakfast and then to the RR.  Wife can keep the car for shopping and I will look forward to whatever work I can help with.  How about Monday and Tues Aug 13-14.  Any need for help then.  Or the following weekend (Aug 18-19).  Michael Ross - email at home is mross -at- txem.com

Looks like my inquiry about where to stay started a good discussion.  Thanks to all for the input - my wife and I will be arriving at the Wiscasett Morot Lodge Thrusday PM.  Which raises another question:  Any of the fellows staying there with whom I can hitch a 7 AM ride Friday - Sunday to the museum so I can leave the rental car with the wife?  And - yes - I realize that can be dangerous as LL Bean and surrounding shops are only miles down the road!

Which of the several motels in the area is favored by the volunteers. I plan to be there for the spring work session.
