  Yes the WW&F had RPO service. In fact for that service they had 3 cars. Starting with car #1 a baggage, express, & RPO. The second was car #5 or 6 cannot remember witch later #2. The third was #7 later #3. The #5 or 6 witch ever Later #2 was a RPO, baggage, & coach. The #7 later #3 was the car on the last train when engine #8 took a spill south of Whitefield. This wreck ended rail service on WW&F.

  I am writing to ask for some information along the lines of Bernie Perch"s first post about reuse of patterns. I know that some of the first patterns for number 11 made were a bell ,yoke  and hanger. Now my questions. I am helping on a project of restoring a park  engine for display only. The reason I am asking about the bell and mount is ours was stolen years ago when the engine was in a city park unprotected. Now the engine is displayed at the depot and is fenced with a roof. A small museum is  included in one of the depot out buildings. We are trying to restore the engine for display and want it to look complete. We have the hanger and were given a bell but no yoke. So here are my questions [1] Is the pattern for the yoke if it is the correct size available [2] The size I need is 14 inches between the hanger arms with a drop of 5 or 6 inches. [3] If these measurements work out would it be possible  to somehow get a copy? We would pay for this plus a ringer arm. Any hope please let me know. Thank you.

  Being from Arizona where we do not have to worry about frost heaving I am guessing this is the reason for going so deep with the foundation?

  I" m writing to ask for some help. You all in the rebuild of No.9 cast some new cab light fixtures. Lately I have been volunteering with the local museum here in Tucson Arizona. We are trying to restore an ex Southern Pacific Mogul that sat for many years in a city park unprotected and badly vandalized. Some of the parts now missing are the cab lights. this is where I hope you all will help us. We would like to know if you all would be willing to make some more copies of both the water glass and gage light fixtures. We do not ask you to do this for free of course but would be willing to pay the cost plus if you would be willing to help. I know this may not be the correct place to post this request so if you want to place it somewhere else or remove it I understand but I ask only that you consider my request

To repost my question. While watching a program on TV called NORTH WOODS LAW in one of the segments they showed a part where the warden  was going to check about a report of a boa constrictor. The place they pulled into was off the main road on a privet drive. As they  approached there appeared to be the body of an old wood combined or side door caboose. I did not catch the name of the town but maybe someone knows about this and can say yes or no if this is a railroad car body?

This is one of those projects that inspires the saying if you build it thay will come. But if you hope to get tour busses to come then you will need to have staff there all the time not just on weekends but also week days as tours want will want to be able to show up any time. This could be as little as three people say someone to run the 52 with a coach with a conductor and some one to man the bookstore/station. Just a thought. Also school groups for field trips thay will want to come on weekdays.

Sounds typical of politishions to take someone elses good idea then claim the idea as their own. I think Bill should take the hi road let the town fathers claim the idea IF they want to run with it but know the truth in his heart. Hope this project happens no matter how.

Well I guess you guys are closer and know what's up. But I'm sure that the town fathers from back then are most likely dead and maybe the group presently in charge may more simathedic. then to there is a group working to this goal plus now MNGM is now looking to spin off some equitment. I don't know seem like the puzzal peaces have been throughen out there. Now heres hopeing Bill and his crew can push to make something out of them.
