Anticipated work for Tuesday and Wednesday 3-4 May 2022

*  The track crew to do basic clean up, prep for weekend ops and mountain extension track work
*  Shop crew to continue on rebuilding the passenger car trucks
*  Coach #9 assembly to continue
*  Brendan and Jonathan headed to Mass. To pick up a used/new machine for the shop
*  Trash run, gift shop and mail work (I expect quite busy after the weekend)

Note: Frequently after work weekend there is a lull, but volunteers will be jumping in continuing
          projects and getting ready for the May 7 Mothers Day Tea. Another successful Spring Work Weekend.

*  Track work,  Complete service track switch, prep for spiking.
    Put rail down run through track, prep for spiking.

Note:  Deer hunting season for rifle begins, wear bright/blaze orange while working/walking on the line.

*  Tie replacement Albee filed crossing. A number of ties need replacing before
    Saturdays operations. (to be done Tues., volunteers bring your lunch)

*  TOM track crossings to be built/completed. (Wed. volunteers bring your lunch.

*  Tamper repair continues.

*  Alna Center mowing/campus clean up  (pending)

*  Locomotive #9 test fire and qualification run/switching prep for weekend ops.

*  Shop work, Coach #9 assembly (pending)

   Whistling before 10AM at all whistled crossings is discouraged;  approach prepared to stop                             
   and yield to vehicular traffic.                                                                                                                   

   All crossings to be whistled for are marked by a “W” sign 250 feet from the crossing, which
   acts as a marker only and is not intended to denote where whistling begins.  Any train unable
   to whistle must approach prepared to stop and yield to vehicular traffic.

                               In Case of Fire

1.   Trains must stop, investigate, and fight fires found in their wake.
2.   If the fire can not be controlled by means on the train, train crew call 9-1-1, then dispatcher.

142.  Personal Safety Equipment
         a.  Footwear:  heeled, fully enclosed above the ankle leather skinned sturdy boots.
              Safety shoe/boots are preferred.
         b.  Full legged pants are required for locomotive service and track crew service.
         c.  Full sleeved shirts are required for steam locomotive service.
         d.  Safety or shatter resistant glasses are required when using any power tool.
